A personal note from the U'6 Manager/Coach - Andrew Booth

I introduced my son Dylan to the football club in 2015, at the age of 4. Since then, I worked closely with Rob White and the Football Association to become a Licensed FA coach. Football has been a passion of mine since an early age and I had the privilege to play for Flackwell Heath FC for a while as well as an amateur career locally. Coaching is something I have always wanted to do and so embraced the opportunity completing two FA Coaching Qualifications (Outfield & Goalkeeper).

Unfortunately, Rob White, officially retired as the Manager/Coach at the end of the 2015/16 season leaving me as his successor. I worked with the U6's during the 2016/17 season and will also continue into the 2017/18 season after which I will start the process again with the U7's handing on the batton to the next U6 Manager/Coach.

HVFC run two age groups from the grounds, U6's and U7's. This coming season we have a new Manager/Coach for the U7's, Michael Rose, who has assisted me through the last two seasons. We also have a few parents linked with the school who will also be taking up the mantle of coaches.

The club has been running for over 40 years and has been a successful community football club. I would very much like to continue on the good work and need to recruit as many children into the club as possible especially across the U6's, U7's, U8's and U9's age groups.

Attached is a link to our website along with a flyer giving you some additional information about the club and how to get in touch. As the U6's Manager/Coach I use my personal e-mail and mobile phone to issue circulars and general communication. We have a lot of fun whilst training and playing matches. We have a website and use social media to promote the club, but largely rely on word of mouth to increase membership and participation.
Thank you, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch.
