Open Days - unfortunately, due to Covid 19, we are unable to offer face to face Open mornings for prospective parents as we must reduce the footprint coming into school. We are working on a promotional film which will incorporate our Welcome message and overview of the school along with a tour of the school and grounds. This is being being filmed at the beginning of November and will appear on our website soon after.
Thank you for your continued patience. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school office and we will do our best to help.
We currently have spaces for children aged 3 and over from September 2020 in our preschool; Hughenden Hoppers. We look forward to hearing from you.

We were informed by the Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Damian Hinds and the Minister of State for School Standards, Rt Hon Nick Gibb that Hughenden Primary school results published on the 13th December show that 100% of our pupils reached or exceeded the expected standard in reading and writing at the end of KS2. This puts Hughenden in the top 1% for achievement in reading and writing in primary schools across England.
We are delighted to share this news with all our parents which is testamount to all the hard work from both children and staff.
Please take a moment to read an article published yesterday in The Guardian on Apprenticeships which features Hughenden Primary School - her is the link to follow: https://www.theguardian.com/careers/2019/mar/05/schools-to-grow-their-own-teachers-with-pgce-apprenticeships
We are a small, caring village school with an outstanding team of skilled and dedicated staff. We are proud of the excellent academic results and the mature attitudes and very good behaviour of all our children.
This website will provide you with a wealth of information about our aims, ethos, curriculum and activities. I hope you enjoy reading it and that it inspires you to come and see us in action. We are always delighted to welcome visitors and prospective parents to our school.
The Child is the most important person in our School;
The Child is not an interruption to our work; the Child is the purpose of it.
The Child is not an outsider in our School; the Child is part of it.
We are not doing the Child a favour by serving them; the Child is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.
