We were informed by the Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Damian Hinds and the Minister of State for School Standards, Rt Hon Nick Gibb that Hughenden Primary school results published on the 13th December show that 100% of our pupils reached or exceeded the expected standard in reading and writing at the end of KS2. This puts Hughenden in the top 1% for achievement in reading and writing in primary schools across England.
We are delighted to share this news with all our parents which is testamount to all the hard work from both children and staff.
Please take a moment to read an article published yesterday in The Guardian on Apprenticeships which features Hughenden Primary School - her is the link to follow: https://www.theguardian.com/careers/2019/mar/05/schools-to-grow-their-own-teachers-with-pgce-apprenticeships
We are a small, caring village school with an outstanding team of skilled and dedicated staff. We are proud of the excellent academic results and the mature attitudes and very good behaviour of all our children.
This website will provide you with a wealth of information about our aims, ethos, curriculum and activities. I hope you enjoy reading it and that it inspires you to come and see us in action. We are always delighted to welcome visitors and prospective parents to our school.
The Child is the most important person in our School;
The Child is not an interruption to our work; the Child is the purpose of it.
The Child is not an outsider in our School; the Child is part of it.
We are not doing the Child a favour by serving them; the Child is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.
