Parent Governor Election - please see information under News/June 2020 - deadline to respond is Friday 12th June 2020.

Stay Alert, Control the Virus. Save lives.

With effect from the 1st June, we are open to children in Hoppers, Foundation, Year 1 and Year 6 on Thursday and Friday. Children who fall into vulnerable groups or those of keyworkers can attend daily. Please contact the school office to advise.

Please be advised that there will be no crossing patroller from Thursday 19th March onwards due to the Coronavirus. Please take this into account when making your way to school, especially if children walk to school independently.

Please see letters to parents giving updates on the Coronavirus lower down under Important Information. We will keep you informed as updates are made available. Please also view the child friendly explanation to explain this to your children.

We were informed by the Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Damian Hinds and the Minister of State for School Standards, Rt Hon Nick Gibb that Hughenden Primary school results published on the 13th December show that 100% of our pupils reached or exceeded the expected standard in reading and writing at the end of KS2. This puts Hughenden in the top 1% for achievement in reading and writing in primary schools across England.

We are delighted to share this news with all our parents which is testamount to all the hard work from both children and staff.

Please take a moment to read an article published yesterday in The Guardian on Apprenticeships which features Hughenden Primary School - her is the link to follow:
